What is Equine CranioSacral?

In the early 1900s an osteopath named Dr William Sutherland developed the practice of Craniosacral.  The therapy focuses on bringing balance throughout the skeletal and muscular systems by applying pressure to the individual bones of the skull, spine, and sacrum.

Craniosacral therapy was originally developed for use on humans, however in the late 1990’s, US-based Maureen Rogers (with whom I have trained) further developed the techniques for use on horses and other animals.

This beautiful therapy is a powerful, yet gentle and holistic healing practice and as a result is rapidly growing in popularity across the UK.  When applied correctly, this clement technique can be highly effective in addressing behavioral and psychological problems in horses and ponies, as well as injuries and many other conditions.

Equine CranioSacral Therapy and other healing practices I work with do not replace traditionary Veterinary care.

It is important to consult your Veterinarian in the first instance and also prior to any Complementary therapy if you have any concerns.
